Wrexham will be looking to continue their good start to life in the third tier when they travel to Birmingham City on Monday.

The visitors didn't get their 2024-25 campaign off to the start they would have liked after getting promoted from League Two last season. Phil Parkinson's men were eliminated by Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in the opening round of the League Cup and worst of it they shipped four goals. However, things have been bright of late with the Red Dragons unbeaten in their last five games in all competitions.

Birmingham City didn't also have the best of starts either. The hosts needed an 87th-minute penalty from Alfie May to earn a point against Reading on the opening day of the season, but they will go into Monday's game full of confidence after three wins from their last three League One matches.

Birmingham City vs Wrexham Betting Tips: Draw & Both teams to score

While Birmingham City will be favourites going into Monday's game, given their experience in the division and home advantage, Wrexham can't be underestimated. The visitors take a five-match unbeaten run into Monday's clash - a run that includes four clean sheets and four wins and averaged two goals per game.

Birmingham have also had no problems scoring goals in Football League One so far this season. The Blues boast an average of two goals per game in the league this season and bets on ''btts - yes'' won in as many games.

Birmingham City team news

Birmingham City boss Chris Davies is not expected to make many changes to the side that was on the pitch from kick-off in the win over Wigan Athletic before the international break.

Scott Wright came off the bench to score the winner in that clash, but the former Rangers forward is likely to settle for another substitute appearance on Monday.
