22Bet bonuses and promotions

8 / 10

The world of online betting at sportsbooks is known for the bonuses and offers open to players. We're going to dive in now and look at exactly what 22Bet has to offer:

The 22Bet welcome offer

The 22Bet betting site offers new Canadian customers the chance to claim a 100% matched deposit as its welcome bonus. This offer goes as high as $180 but can be triggered with a first deposit as low as $1.50. This deposit bonus must be wagered 5 times before any withdrawal is possible, and bets need to be placed on sports with odds of 1.40 or higher. You have 7 days to meet all requirements. There's no need to enter a 22Bet promo code to claim the offer.

This offer is one of the most generous around, but we still recommend that you check out the terms and conditions for yourself. You just need to be sure that there's nothing that will have a negative impact on how you want to use the bonus.

Ongoing 22Bet promotions and offers

After the first deposit bonus at 22Bet, there are also other things going on for existing customers. These offers can change at any time but, as of September 2024, this is what we found at the sportsbook:

  • Friday reload: Every Friday you can claim a 100% match deposit up to $150. This bonus comes with 3x wagering and bets must be used on events with odds of at least 1.40.
  • Acca protection: If you're acca has at least 7 legs and just one loses, you can claim a 100% refund.
  • Losing streak bonus: Lose 20 bets in a row and 22Bet will give you a boost with extra reward points (more on these later)
  • Weekly cashback: Claim 0.3% back against weekly loses. Minimum rebate is $1.5 and the max is $1,500
  • Acca of the day: If you wager on the acca of the day, and win, the odds are boosted by 10%

The latest bonus offers at 22Bet are sure to appeal to punters in Canada. I'm a fan of the weekly reload and it's great to see that regular cashback is on offer.

22Bet loyalty rewards

The 22Bet sportsbook also has a loyalty scheme in place. This is all about collecting points. Each time that you deposit, and wager through, $8 you're rewarded with 1 point. As these points build, you can exchange them in the 22Bet shop. In the shop, you'll find the chance to grab free bets.

Licensing and security at 22Bet

9 / 10

An important part of this 22Bet sportsbook review involves looking at how safe and secure the site is. We're pleased to say that we found that it has a SSL certificate in place with 128-bit encryption. This means that when you make any transactions, your details are protected and can't be seen by hackers.

We also saw that the 22Bet is licensed and regulated by the Curacao government. Its license is issued under number 8048/JAZ2017-067. There is also a Kahnawake license present (number 00882). A license means that the bookie must adhere to a host of measures that all exist for your protection.

A closer look at the 22Bet website

8 / 10

It's likely that Canadian bettors will appreciate the simple layout of the site. We couldn't fault how easy it was to get up and running with an account. There were options to verify an account via email or to receive a code via text. This extra option adds to the convenience. Placing a bet was simple to, with the bet slip easy to access. We noticed that you could turn on 'one-click' betting. We can see how this makes things easier, but we also feel that beginners should steer clear of this. It allows you to set a stake amount that is automatically applied to each bet that you place. It makes it too easy to blow your budget, especially if you're inexperienced.

For that reason alone, we'd suggest that this site is best suited to those who know their way around sportsbooks and have a good grasp of what's involved.

Navigating the site

We had no problems when it came to finding our way around. The side bar on the left made it easy to see the betting options, with sports listed from A-Z. There's a bright red button at the top of the side bar that shows you exactly where you need to head for live events. The menu in the header was also clear making it simple to access details of bonuses or to head over to areas such as the casino. The downside here is that it's not immediately obvious where the live chat function was. To be fair, there's a big green speech mark to click on, but we expected to see something within the menus.

Look and feel of the site

Everything about the site looks basic and simple. Now, this can be a positive in some ways as it avoids anything becoming too complicated. However, in our view, that simplicity has gone a little too far. The blues and whites look pleasing to the eye, but the font used for the text looks like it's come from an old fashioned type writer. This doesn't detract from the sports betting opportunities, but we do feel that the overall look and feel could do with a makeover.

What makes up for the look is the fact that 22Bet offers players a host of features that boost the experience. The likes of live streams and cashout options are welcome additions.

22Bet mobile experience

8 / 10

If you're looking at betting on the go, then this operator has you covered. Right now, there's a 22Bet mobile app that users can download for Android devices. This app allows you to access all of the features that you'll find in the main site. While there's a symbol to suggest an iOS app, this appears not to be the case. Clicking the image simply takes you to the page to download the Android version.

iOS users shouldn't fear the lack of an app. They can still enjoy 22Bet mobile betting simply by using their mobile browsers.

22Bet payment options

8 / 10

The best betting sites come with a selection of payment methods for users to choose from. We always play close attention here so that we can be sure that our readers only wager at sites where there are secure methods that allow for fast transactions. Let's see whether 22Bet delivers in this area:

22Bet deposit methods

When looking at the deposit options at 22Bet, it's fair to say that we were impressed. There are an array of choices here with popular cryptos been covered. Alongside the likes of Bitcoin, there are other methods such as AirTM, AstroPay, Pay4Fun, Perfect Money, and Visa. No matter the deposit method you opt for, you'll find that funds are credited in an instant and that there are no fees.

  • Minimum deposit: $5
  • Maximum deposit: N/A

22Bet withdrawal methods

If you're looking to make a withdrawal of your winnings, you'll find that there are plenty of options here. Again, there are numerous cryptocurrencies to choose from as well as the other methods that we've just looked at. These methods vary in speed, but with crypto you can see your withdrawal being almost instant.

Customer support at 22Bet

8 / 10

The first thing we saw when looking at support options was the fact that there was a FAQ section. This wasn't the most in-depth one that we have seen, but reading through will provide answers for some of the more basic enquiries. If you can't find what you're looking for, you can reach out via live chat, a contact form, or email.

We'd struggled to find some of the details relating to payment methods so we thought that we'd give the live chat a try. Now, this is an honest review, and the truth is that we weren't overly impressed. We waited around 5 minutes to be connected to an agent. When we were, everything was slow going. When we asked our questions, we were informed that our agent had forwarded our query elsewhere and that we would have to wait for a response. We waited more than half an hour. Now, don't get us wrong, half an hour is hardly a life time but there are other operators who respond much faster.

The online contact form states that responses will come within 24 hours and you can expect the same if you get in touch via email.

22Bet online sports betting experience

9 / 10

Of course, our review of 22Bet needs to provide you with the details of the sports that you can bet on. We know that our readers like to know all about the betting markets, the odds, and in-play options too. As you read on, we'll be covering all of this, and more.

Range of 22Bet sports

22Bet offers its customers the opportunity to bet on more than 40 sports. We worked our way through the A-Z list and saw that all of the major sports were covered. That means that there's the chance to bet on sports such as American football, soccer, ice hockey, and basketball. Alongside these, we also spotted that were opportunities to wager on less well-known ones like bare knuckle boxing and figure skating. There was also coverage of TV shows and politics to explore.

What we really liked here was that there was attention given to both major and minor leagues. The easiest way to illustrate this is by looking at soccer. Instantly, we saw that major leagues were covered and there were endless opportunities to bet on the EPL, Serie A, and La Liga. Looking beyond these, we also found the chance to bet on leagues in Ecuador and San Marino.

Odds and margins at 22Bet

While different sports come with their own margins, across the board we were pleased to see that the average margins came in at a healthy 6.5%. We were impressed with the low 5.33% margins on soccer and felt that the 6.35% for basketball was pretty good too. Handball wasn't quite as good, coming in at 8.5%, but this is nothing to be worried about. Generally, what's offered here is extremely competitive.

In-play betting and streams

22Bet is one of the best when it comes to the in-play options. When we visited the site, there were around 400 live events taking place and these were spread across a range of sports. We had the opportunity to bet on the likes of:

  • Soccer
  • Tennis
  • Basketball
  • Ice hockey
  • Cricket
  • Volleyball
  • Table tennis

22Bet also offers its customers the chance to watch the action there and then via its live streams. We're big fans of this and found that the quality was exceptional, and it added to the overall experience.

22Bet limits

As we looked at the limits set here we saw that 22Bet has one of the lower minimum bet levels. It's good to see that you can start to wager on events with as little as $0.30. There were no clear maximum bets that we could see. All that we can say is that if the bet slip accepts your wager than all is good.

We did find that the 22Bet bookmaker imposes limits on the maximum win from a single bet. This is limited to $600,000. While we're never fans of limits being in place, we have to say that this one is set so high that it's unlikely to be much of an issue for most punters.

Markets

When we started to explore the betting markets on offer, we found that this was a bit of a mixed bag. It was easy to find the most common markets covered, such as moneylines, over/under and outrights, but we found significant variation between sports. Looking at soccer, the betting options seemed unlimited. Just some of the options included:

  • First to score
  • Both teams to score
  • Yellow cards
  • Corners
  • First half total goals

This was all great, but it was a different matter when we looked at figure skating and golf. With the first, we saw events with just a single market. With the latter, we looked at the Presidents Cup and could only find markets for the winner and hole in one. This was a little disappointing.

Deposit limits

Before a 22Bet customer can place a bet, they need to know about the deposit limits in place. These vary depending on the payment method used, but start from as little as $5. The good news is that the operator itself has no upper limits in place. Any caps will be placed by the payment processors themselves.

Esports betting at 22Bet

In addition to sports betting, the best bookies also offer the chance to wager on esports. This is an area that has experienced a rapid rise in popularity in recent years so let's take a look at what 22Bet brings to the party:

Esports availability

We liked what we saw when we started to look at the esports that 22Bet offers. As well as e-versions of traditional sports, we found that there were 13 titles to bet on. These are:

  • Counter-Strike 2
  • Dota 2
  • League of Legends
  • Valorant
  • Rainbow 6
  • King of Glory
  • Mobile Legends
  • Arena of Valor
  • Warcraft 3
  • Starcraft
  • CrossFire Mobile
  • Halo
  • Overwatch 2

Esports odds and margins

We liked what we saw in this area. The average margins came in at just over 6%. As with the sports section, we saw that there were some real variations here. For example, we saw that Counter-Strike 2 had average margins of 6.1% while Arena of Valor went as high as 9%. Then, looking at Valorant, we found margins of just 5.5%.

Live bets and streams

This is another area where 22Bet delivers. As we logged in, we noticed that there were hundreds of esports events taking place. Just some of what we saw includes League Legends Worlds, Oceanic League for Rainbow 6, and the Philippines league for Mobile Legends. This was great to see and we enjoyed our time here.

While the betting options were already great, what made them even better was the fact that events were being live streamed. For us, this is a must with esports and we were pleased to see that 22Bet delivered.

Esports markets

22Bet provide customers access to a great selection of markets when it comes to esports. We love to see a wide range of markets and this means that there are more opportunities to win, and things start to get more exciting. Just some of the markets we saw were:

  • Team 1 to win at least one map
  • Total maps
  • Handicap
  • Winner
  • Correct score

The 22Bet casino

9 / 10

When looking at top bookies, you tend to find that these also feature an online casino. This is the case at 22Bet so let's take a look at what this has to offer:

Game providers

No matter where the online casino is, it's vital that you take a look at the providers that are behind the games. You need to be sure that these are reputable and respected. Poor providers give poor games and a poor experience. Fortunately, we saw that 22Bet only uses the best providers in the industry. Just some of these are 3Oaks, Pragmatic Play, and SWINTT.

22Bet casino games

Any 22Bet casino review needs to consider the sort of games that are on offer. Firstly, we have to say we were disappointed by the complete lack of table games. However, we can't fault this operator when it comes to the slots that can be played. There were hundreds of these to choose from, and some of the top titles include:

  • Book of Gods
  • Ocean Catch
  • Rise of Olympus 1000

Alongside the slots, we also saw that there were around 50 crash game titles. These have really taken off over the last 2-3 years and we were pleased to see that these were well covered here.

The live casino

The live dealer section was pretty spectacular. There were literally hundreds of tables to play at and there were plenty of variants of blackjack, baccarat, and roulette. These titles come from providers such as Winfinity and Pragmatic Play and that means that you can be sure of a first-class experience. We were also fans of titles such as Boom City and Sweet Bonanza Candyland.

Wager limits

Are you a high roller? Are you on a tighter budget or maybe just don't want risk large amounts? The reality is your answer doesn't really matter here. Why? Well, 22Bet caters for everyone. There are slots that can be played with as little as $0.10 at risk while high roller blackjack tables allow you to bet as much as $25,000 on a hand.

Final thoughts on 22Bet

8.31 / 10

Based on our time at this site, would we recommend 22Bet? The answer here is yes. While there have been the odd issues that have disappointed us, mainly the slow responses on the live chat, the overall experience was a positive one.

We're huge fans of the welcome bonus and feel the $180 is certainly generous. However, what really stands out with the bonuses is the fact that there's a weekly reload and cashback. Rewarding loyal customers always gets a big thumbs up from us.

In terms of the sports to bet on, the wide variety means that there is something for everyone, and it has to be said that live betting experience was exceptional. We were also impressed with what this bookie offers in terms of esports.

Across the board, the odds and margins are competitive, and there's no reason why we wouldn't want to wager here. If 22Bet can get its customer service representatives to up their game, we'd rate this sportsbook even more highly.
